Kinky Boots Music by Cyndi Lauper | Book by Harvey Fierstein | Directed by Jerry Mitchell

"A fascinating exploration of gender and stereotypes. This show would stimulate students' imaginations in terms of how costume, lighting and set can be used to communicate character and setting. As students are regularly required to analyse live theatre, this would be a fantastic show to see and discuss."
Sarah Columb, Head of Creative and Performing Arts, Leytonstone School
"It’s hard to come out of this show without wanting to discuss the many PSHE or SMSC issues that it raises… With the renewed emphasis on the importance of teaching British Values, Kinky Boots acts as a great stimulus for some really important and relevant messages."
Adam Thorpe, Citizenship teacher, North London
"A fantastic show! The themes are also in line with current issues around sexuality, gender and broader themes of determination, grit and perseverance. So many links to the PSHE curriculum and a whole lot of ticks against our schools SMSC objectives. Highly recommended!"
Martin Otter, Teaching and Learning Co-ordinator, NBH School, London.
"Kinky Boots is a brilliant tool to use to study relevant and necessary issues in today’s world. Students are able to recognise the differing types of relationships and what needs to be done to make these healthy and safe. By using the show there is plenty of room to discuss respect, diversity, goal-setting and self-acceptance."
Abbe West, Head of Life Skills, North Bridge House School
"Kinky Boots is fabulous, fun and fast-paced. Fantastic costumes, sets, music and story. Great for PSHE, Social Studies, Drama and Dance students. You’re guaranteed to have a great night!"
Denise Uprichard, Study Experiences
