Cameron Mackintosh has been producing more musicals than anyone else in history for nearly fifty years including Miss Saigon; Oliver!; My Fair Lady; Barnum; Little Shop Of Horrors; Side By Side By Sondheim; Follies; Mary Poppins (co-produced with Disney) and the three longest running musicals in the world The Phantom Of The Opera; Cats and Les Misérables.
Cameron’s company owns eight West End theatres and Music Theatre International, the world’s largest library of secondary rights of the great musicals.
Cameron is the first British producer to be elected to the Broadway Hall of Fame and is President of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He inaugurated the Cameron Mackintosh Chair of Contemporary Theatre at St. Catherine’s College at Oxford University and he has been Knighted for his services to British theatre.
